Kindness Story of the Week

A Story of Kindness from Windsor, Ontario

“I went to a lady’s house to give her a price on repairing her fireplace - it was her only source of heat in the winter.  I told her it would cost $300 to repair and that I would be back in a week to fix it.  I went back and did the work.  It was just before Christmas.  The house was very run down and she had a 3-year-old little girl.  As I looked around, I really knew this lady couldn’t afford to have the repairs done, but she needed to heat the house.  When I was about to leave she asked me who she should make the cheque out to.  I said, “Don’t worry about it. Merry Christmas.”  I asked her to buy something for her daughter.  She began to cry as she thanked me.  I walked out of that house with a great feeling knowing that I have made her day and probably made her Christmas.”
