WHY?!

The trip began as an idea of Canadian author, community leader and inspirational
speaker Brock Tully. Inspired by the widespread interest and activity around kindness, Brock decided to invite communities around North America to the kindness challenge.

Our current journey is a re-enactment of a solo bicycle trip Brock  did 30 years ago. The 10,000 mile trip in 1970 was one that  changed him forever. Brock, then a 23-year old university jock,  was unhappy with life and felt he needed something more... or else end it all.

On his initial trip, he realized that people all over the United  States, Mexico and Canada were essentially kind and just needed  the opportunity to demonstrate it. Brock discovered that it was  not really a 10,000 mile trip, but a 12 inch one... from his head to  his heart. From his experiences came a series of best-selling books called 'Reflections'.

"...when i think i need to belong, i often follow others ... when i follow my heart, i feel like i belong regardless of others."

- Brock Tully
